Nestled in the former carriage room of Bampfield Hall, is a prized collection
of vintage hats and headpieces, dating back to the turn of the last century.
A handsome gentlemen's display of top hats, bowlers and fedoras is not to be
outdone by the lady's styles, many festooned with feathers and sequins, which
include cloches from the roaring '20s,mop hats, bonnets, and picture hats
One of history's most consistent displays of style and imagination can be found
in each era's millinery. The collection at The Little Hat Museum, boasting over
500 beautiful examples artfully displayed in glass showcases, certainly attests
to that. |
